Share your migration story with us

We’re looking for people who migrated from the Commonwealth to work in the NHS between 1940 – 1980. By collecting and honouring people’s stories, we aim to highlight their significant contribution to the NHS. Once we have collected these stories, we’ll use them to create artwork which we’ll proudly display across our workplace and patient sites in Berkshire.

We hope this project will create a sense of community and belonging among diverse groups within Berkshire and enhance understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity amongst our colleagues.

How you can get involved

Share your story: If you migrated from the Commonwealth to work for the NHS in Berkshire during the 1940’s-1980’s, we would love to hear from you.

Nominate others: You can nominate someone you know (with their consent) to take part in this campaign.

Spread the word: Help us promote this campaign by sharing it with your friends, family, and colleagues. Use social media and other channels to raise awareness and encourage more people to get involved. If you connect with the community, you can also share our posters and flyers.
