Guidance for researchers
All research in Berkshire Healthcare must be registered with the Research and Development department
- Audit – Audits are specifically designed to measure if we are meeting existing standards for example policies or guidelines
- Service Evaluation – Service Evaluations are used to check if the service is achieving what it set out to achieve. Service evaluations measure any combination of whether the service is; safe, a good experience and clinically effective. Utilisation and cost-benefit is also sometimes included.
- Research – Research enables us to ask specific questions with scientifically sound methods in the hope of creating new knowledge which may be generalisable or transferable.
