The Buckingham Palace Garden Party is a prestigious social event hosted by the British royal family at Buckingham Palace. It is an opportunity for the Sovereign to recognise and reward public service and contributions to society. To attend, guests are typically nominated by departments, public bodies, or organisations.

Janet was nominated for her exceptional dedication and professionalism throughout her extensive career in the NHS. Her compassion and commitment to patient care has been evident across all her roles, and over the years, she has developed a wealth of expertise in mental health, contributing significantly to the wellbeing of some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

One of Janet's most notable contributions has been her leadership of the Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) service. For the past 18 years, she has been at the forefront of providing this essential treatment to patients experiencing severe depression. Under her guidance, the ECT service has not only flourished but has also received accreditation, a testament to her relentless dedication to enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes.

The Buckingham Palace Garden Party was the perfect opportunity to thank and congratulate Janet for her commitment to her work at the NHS. We’re delighted she had such a wonderful time at the event.
