West Berkshire Community Hospital Remembrance Morning 2025

West Berkshire Community Hospital Therapy Garden

Earlier this month, West Berkshire Community Hospital’s annual remembrance morning took place, to remember loved ones who have passed away at the hospital.

Friday 30 May 2025

Family and friends were joined by staff in the hospital’s therapy garden where they heard from Jane Bywater, Palliative Medicine Consultant, followed by the hospital’s Chaplain, Simon Thorn, who read out an emotive poem and offered attendees private prayer. A rose bush was then planted to honour those who had passed.

The morning provided a thoughtful space for family and friends to reflect and share memories of their loved ones, with many finding quiet solace in the therapy garden. The hospital remains deeply committed to supporting not just its patients, but also their families and friends - even after their loved ones have passed.
