Our network is a non-exclusive group, open to all Berkshire Healthcare employees and aspires to have a mix of Armed Forces veterans, reservists, adult cadet volunteers, and those with a family member who once served or is still serving.
The network welcomes those who have a general interest in the Armed Forces, as well as those who come into contact with the community on a professional basis.
This network will provide a place for the Armed Forces community to come together and share ideas and best practice, supporting each other to make Berkshire Healthcare a great place to work. The Armed Forces network also work with the wider Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) staff networks.
Our Pride Network is open to all, including allies, and actively supports events, education, and sharing voices to drive positive change and address disparities.
The network runs campaigns and collaborations with our other staff networks, playing an integral role in our Pride outreach. Through these efforts, we ensure that our workplace is a welcoming and supportive environment for all LGBTQ staff, fostering a culture where everyone can thrive.
We launched our Purple network to support staff who have experience with a disability or long-term health condition, champions and carers.
Our networks are also responsible for creating action plans to combat bullying and discrimination from staff and patients to make sure that everyone has a friendly work environment.
We also have a Friends, Family and Carers Charter to support staff and patients who having caring responsibilities.
We support ethnically diverse colleagues through championing change, fair representation and pastoral support.
We run a programme of events throughout the year, as well as hosting our regular Village Voice to come together to share experiences, foster understanding, and create a more inclusive workplace.
Our network is also open to allies, as we appreciate the power of unity.
The Women’s Network aims to provide staff with a supportive and educative space whilst holding the organisation to account through providing a critical voice and the voice of the network members.
Through our CoffeeShop sessions and our Teams channel, we facilitate a supportive, inclusive and confidential space where staff can share knowledge, information and experiences or seek advice and learn from each other.
We work collaboratively with the other staff networks to provide informative and educational spaces for key topics and relevant discussions to be held as well as playing a role in driving forward organisation by representing the voice of our members.
