A psychological professions career with us means you’ll be joining more than 700 other professionals in providing high quality, evidence-based clinical care to meet the psychological needs of people in our community and inpatient services.
You’ll be supporting multi-professional colleagues and teams to provide psychologically informed care.

Wellbeing benefits
We provide extensive support for your mental, physical, and financial wellbeing, including long-service awards and recognition programmes.
Our staff support service, Wellbeing Matters, is led by psychological professionals. It offers mental health support, reflective spaces, post-incident care, team interventions, training, and online resources.
Input to the service from psychological practitioners across our services is highly valued.
Early careers and training roles
Are you looking to pursue a career in the psychological professions? You may be on an A-level or undergraduate Psychology course or studying another relevant degree and considering options for your career, or you may already have a profession but are looking for a change.
We also arrange annual online careers events, where you can speak with someone who is already working in the professions and get to know a bit more about what a career with us is like.

Placement opportunities
Already completed a BSc in Psychology or training in a psychological profession and looking for a placement? We benefit from the contribution of assistant psychologists and a range of trainees undertaking post-graduate diploma, master's, and doctorate courses.
Training Roles
We offer training roles to make sure you have the right skills and to provide he right interventions and support to our patients.
These enable you to work under supervision in a supportive clinical environment while also studying to achieve the academic competencies required for registration in your selected profession.

Volunteering
Volunteers play a vital role in supporting our teams, patients, and communities. While we do not offer volunteer roles within the psychological professions, volunteering can offer valuable opportunities to gain relevant experience.
Roles include welcoming visitors, assisting reception teams, and providing practical and emotional support.
