Monday 18 May – Friday 22 May 2026
As part of the ongoing construction work for the new MRI community diagnostic centre at West Berkshire Community Hospital, the south entrance from London Road will be closed to pedestrians and vehicles from Monday 18 May to Friday 22 May 2026.
During this period, all patients and visitors will need to access the hospital via the North Entrance on Turnpike Road. Patients attending appointments are advised to allow extra time for their journey and arrival at the hospital, as access routes and traffic around the site may be affected during the closure.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank patients and visitors for their patience while these important improvement works continue.
The new state-of-the-art facility will be home to two new MRI scanners and will be capable of delivering 17,500 MRI scans annually, helping to meet the growing demand for advanced diagnostic imaging across Berkshire West.
