Overview

We have videos and guides with advice on using and adjusting your wheelchairs.

How to use a manual wheelchair

Part 1 covers the main parts of a wheelchair and how you can make adjustments.

This series was made in collaboration with Dr Margaret McGrath at NUI Galway and National Digital Learning Resources (NDLR) in Ireland.

Children and younger adult wheelchair users

Watch the video by Millbrook Healthcare group about adjusting child seating in a wheelchair.

Whizz Kidz video guides

Check out the Whizz Kidz videos for both children and adults, for practical tips on using both manual and powered wheelchairs. These guides cover a range of basic and advanced skills from opening doors to carrying drinks safely.

In some videos, the speaker wears a face mask. If you can’t hear what he’s saying, turn on subtitles by clicking the symbol on the player bar.
