All research in Berkshire Healthcare must be registered with the Research and Development department.

Audit

Audits are specifically designed to measure if we are meeting existing standards for example policies or guidelines

Service evaluation

Service evaluations are used to check if the service is achieving what it set out to achieve. Service evaluations measure any combination of whether the service is; safe, a good experience and clinically effective. Utilisation and cost-benefit is also sometimes included.

Research

Research enables us to ask specific questions with scientifically sound methods in the hope of creating new knowledge which may be generalisable or transferable.
