This is a dispute between resident doctors represented by the BMA, and the UK government. During these strikes, other doctors (including GPs, consultants, speciality, associate specialist and some specialist doctors) will still be working.

Please attend planned appointments unless we contact you.

We are working hard to make sure we can continue to provide services on the strike days. Our crisis and single point of access services are open and running as usual. Please attend any planned appointments, we will contact you if your appointment needs to be rescheduled for any reason.

What do I do if I need medical help or advice?

The NHS is asking patients to choose services appropriately during industrial action and to take simple steps to help ensure care is available to patients who need it most.

If you need medical help but it's not a life-threatening emergency and you’re unsure where to get support, use NHS 111 first, either online or by phone. Only call 999 in a life-threatening emergency.

GP practices will be open so please continue to attend your GP and dental appointments, unless you are contacted and told otherwise.

The pharmacy first service means patients can now visit without a GP appointment for seven common conditions: shingles, sore throat - 5 years and over, infected insect bites, earaches in children 1 to 17 years, sinusitis - 12 years and over
