June is Pride Month, a time to recognise and celebrate LGBTQIA+ communities, their history, and their contributions.
Today, Pride Month is both a celebration and a reminder. It celebrates identity, diversity, and inclusion, while also highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ communities around the world. It is marked through parades, community events, educational activities, storytelling, and public discussions that promote visibility, understanding, and equality.
At Berkshire Healthcare, we are proud to support LGBTQIA+ inclusion across our services and workforce. We are committed to creating a culture where everyone feels respected, valued, and able to be their authentic selves.
We are proud to have been recognised nationally with Stonewall’s Proud Employers Accreditation in 2026, reflecting our ongoing commitment to inclusion.
For our staff, the Pride Network provides a safe and supportive space to share experiences and help shape more inclusive workplaces and better health outcomes for LGBTQIA+ communities, informed by lived experience.
For our local community, we take part in Pride events each year to raise awareness of our services, offer health information and checks, and listen to how we can continue to improve.
Inclusion and representation are essential to providing high-quality care for everyone. We are committed to continuing this work throughout the year, not just during Pride Month.
