This national ban hopes to reduce vaping among young people and protect the environment from the waste caused by these products.
As a result, disposable vapes will no longer be offered by any stop smoking services, including in our mental health inpatient services.
Please do not smoke or vape while on our sites.
Visit the NHS Better Health website for more guidance on how to stop smoking.

Vaping can help you quit smoking and is up to 95% less harmful than smoking. As an inpatient at Prospect Park Hospital, vaping is permitted indoors in designated areas like bedrooms, gardens and courtyards, or when on section 17 leave.
You can bring your own preferred rechargeable vape, which will be safely tested and assessed before use.
As a smoker, you’ll be offered free nicotine replacement treatment (NRT) from our Tobacco Dependence Advisor during your admission.
We can provide you with one free rechargeable vape, and then you’ll be asked to purchase your own.
