Our Health Visiting team run a number of clinics across Berkshire, covering antenatal advice, breastfeeding advice and general advice and support for your baby, where you can also have your baby weighed.
About our Well Baby clinics
Our Well Baby clinics are an opportunity for you to have your baby weighed, and get support and advice from our team of excellent health visitors.
Weighing your baby is a way of checking that they are growing as expected. It can give you peace of mind and also help to identify whether there are any problems affecting their development. The Healthy Child Programme recommends that you weigh your baby no more than once a month until your baby is six months old, then no more than every two months until they are one. Our clinics are open to all children under five.
Our clinics run on a drop-in system and are open to all. Please bear with us if we are busy. There may be a wait to speak to a Health Visitor or to self-weigh your baby.
During school holidays and extreme weather conditions, opening times may vary. Please check before attending.

Antenatal sessions
If you are due to have a baby in the next couple of months, the Health Visiting Service will invite you to attend one of their antenatal sessions. We'll talk to you all about how the Health Visiting Service will support you, and answer any questions you may have.
This will be a group session so you will be in the company of others about to embark on their parenthood journey and those about to expand their family. You're welcome to bring one guest along with you.
These sessions are offered by invite only from your local Health Visiting Service. If you have not received an invite and are more than 36 weeks pregnant, please contact us via our ChatHealth text message service for information on how to attend a local session.
