Quality Improvement

In 2017, we began the delivery of a trust wide Quality Improvement (QI) programme. 

The QI programme seeks to use the knowledge, experience and skills of staff, service users and carers from across the Trust to make improvements to the areas outlined:

  • Patient experience
  • Supporting our staff
  • Harm free care
  • Money matters

Peer advisor volunteer opportunity:

We are seeking to recruit volunteers who have experience of receiving care through Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, either as a service user or as a carer.

Days and times of role:

The days and times of the role will vary dependent upon the volunteer’s involvement in chosen pieces of work

All work will take place between Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm

This role includes:

  • Contributing to our QI projects by sharing your views and experiences, which may include attending project meetings and workshops
  • Acting as an advocate for service users and carers, ensuring their voice is heard within improvement activity
  • Advising/offering comment on content and delivery of the QI training programme that staff receive

Personal characteristics / experience for the role:

  • Able to communicate your experience of receiving care through us
  • Able to travel to different locations across Berkshire
  • Able to act as an advocate for other service users
