Meet & Greet/Reception at Well Baby Clinics, Reading

Could you welcome parents of babies and toddlers?

We're looking for volunteers to help us meet and greet parents that come to our Well Baby clinics in Reading. 

You'll be the first point of contact for parents coming to seek health advice and check their baby's growth from the Health Visiting team.  


Personal characteristics/specification for this role:

  • Minimum age 18 years    
  • Friendly and approachable manner, non-judgemental
  • Clear understanding of confidentiality
  • Organised, calm under pressure – can get busy
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with public and all members of the healthcare team
  • Enthusiasm, well presented
  • Good timekeeping
  • Compliance with site health & safety regulations
  • Wear volunteer ID badge

This role includes:

  • Supporting your chosen clinic by booking visitors in and helping with general reception duties, meet and greet
  • Welcoming and interacting with parents, babies and toddlers as they come to our clinic rooms
  • DBS enhanced clearance check – arranged through Berkshire Healthcare, FOC

We have one volunteer position per clinic.

9.30am – 11.15am
