How to stop
Calorie Counting

Counting calories is a habit – the more you do it, the bigger the habit, the more difficult it is to break, but it is a habit – you can stop. You have to make a conscious decision to stop counting calories and trust your body.

Eating Distress and Dietary Chaos Group

Eating Distress and Dietary Chaos Group This is a 12 week psycho-educational group intended for people suffering with symptoms of Binge Eating Disorder. The purpose of the group is to offer clients further insight into the situations, thoughts and feelings that may prompt them to binge eat.

The Outpatient Group Treatment Programme for Bulimia Nervosa

The Outpatient Group Treatment Programme This group runs weekly at Reading University Medical Centre over a 16 week period.

Day Programme Handbook

Day Programme HandbookThe programme is for those who don’t need 24-hour in-patient admission, but require more intensive input than out-patient care on its own. Its role is to encourage you to become more autonomous and to take greater responsibility for making the necessary changes to aid your recovery.

The Day Programme runs in 12 week blocks from Monday to Thursday each week starting at 8.45 am and ending at 2.00 pm.

Self Esteem Group

Self Esteem GroupThe focus of this group is to help people suffering with low self esteem to understand the development of their thinking about themselves which has led to a belief that they are not of much worth. The group also aims to support them to make changes to the way they perceive themselves in order to boost self esteem which leads on to them being much less reliant on their body shape and weight as a way of feeling successful.
