Recovery in Mind

Over the last year, our West Berkshire Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) has been working with Recovery in Mind to develop a Recovery College.

Recovery in Mind is a social enterprise set up by Angela Ryan, an ex patient, who recognised the need for a Recovery College in West Berkshire. A Recovery College runs peer-led education courses and training programmes for people who suffer with mental health problems.

It also helps develop carers’ understanding of mental health so that they can support people in their recovery journey.

All the courses offered are co-developed, co-delivered and co-evaluated by people with lived experience of mental illness and by mental health professionals.
